A Girl Like Me Greeting Cards are all about girl and women empowerment. For girls - I believe that "Girls Can't Be What They Can't See", so I intend on showing them! Girls can be ANYTHING, but they don’t often know it because they haven’t seen it. For women – I believe woman are the most BADASS humans around, and my art speaks to this belief. I create greeting cards and other products from my mixed media art. The designs depict women and girls doing FANTASTICAL things; I pair the designs with words, sometimes witty or snarky, but always inspirational and meaningful. My cards are all about changing the way the world views and treats girls and women. A clever twist… I always include a “slightly hidden date” within each greeting card I create. The date represents a date in “herstory” that a woman performed a fantastical feat for the rest of us ladies! I believe it’s so important for girls & women to know that there were so many ladies before us, fighting for rights that we are privileged to have. Part of the fun in having a Greeting Card from the A Girl Like Me Art collection is finding the date and figuring out what it means!
